learning a variety of basic acting techniques for TV, film, theatre and commercials based primarily on James Hong's techniques derived from Constantin Stanislavski, Sanford Meisner, and Viola Spolin. |

SETTING A GOAL: If there is something in particular that you want to work on, we can focus our attention on developing this area.
TYPE OF WORK: Individual and group acting exercises (including movement, vocalization and improvisation), monologues and scenes with partners. This will require that you study between the times you are not in class.
MONTHLY PLAN: 1 cycle = 4 sessions:
Session 1 - James Hong will teach and develop your best qualities
Session 2, 3, & 4 - April Hong will teach and develop your
techniques according to the Hong Method. James Hong will
monitor. CYCLE REPEATS
PERIODIC SHOWING of students' best work:
Every now and then, when we feel students are ready to present their work
to an audience, we will have a show for family and friends. Once a year
we have an a show where industry guests are invited as well.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
Occasionally, Mr. Hong invites industry guests, such as directors, producers, writers, casting directors, etc. to view the sessions and interact with the students. Question and answer period follows.
