Students –

I always appreciate a class where everyone is
involved, and I loved the interesting directions we
were all given while working. It was fun, scary, full
of enthusiasm and all in all, a great learning
experience. I would be surprised if anyone wouldn't
agree. I am grateful to be part of a new family and I
thank you for all you have done to make the class.

I have been studying with another
teacher who follows Uta Hagen primarily. So for me I
am thrilled to be re-introduced to a different way to
look at a scene and really become the character. I
feel this will help my confidence and help me to start
thinking about the 'actor' and focus on the
'character'. I am thrilled to be able to work with
James as he is so passionate about acting.

Thank you for taking the time with me, James. You are a
great coach!

I've actually learned more in the first 2 hours at my
first workshop with Mr. Hong than the months and months of training
in acting school. Thank you again for the wonderful experience."

- Helen Lam (UCLA student)

I watched a little bit of GOLDEN CHILD and saw you
James!! JAMES HONG the almighty great actor! That was
really fun. I can't wait to come to class again!
You have a very unique approach to getting actors more
Involved in their character, like walking around a person
sitting in a chair, or doing improvs. You get physically involved.
Thanks so much for all your patience in answering my questions.

 Part I
I am really happy that there are such good hearted and
talented people in class.
I look forward to this Wednesday… I will do my
homework and be ready for
Wednesdays class.

Part II
Well, it seems as though the methods of James Hong
paid off. I booked the trailer. We shoot Memorial day
weekend and the possibility of getting cast in the
film should it sell. Also, I want to thank you for
helping me book a second one, Elliot Brown’s trailer.
I look forward to acting with you in it. I plan to put it in my
showcase reel. These two trailers should help my
career a lot! Talk to you soon.

Industry Guests -

I wanted to thank you VERY much for allowing me to
participate in the workshop experience… I have never
been part of something like that, and it REALLY
helped. It was REALLY awesome watching you with the
students, giving them techniques, communicating with them in a way that REALLY brought out what they are capable of.
Truly I was inspired.
Also, on a side note, I ran into some old friends from
college last week, and have learned that they are
writers with the Television show Alias (@ Disney). I
am putting them to work on another project
(suspense/thriller) during their break..........

Thank you.

-Elliot (Elliot Brown is a writer, director, producer
who visited the class.)
